Clubble is an Influencer-first community. The idea was all about bridging the gap between the influencer's network. It was 2022, I participated in a design hackathon. The event was to come up with creative solutions to address the issues faced my the modern day influencers and content creators.
The app is an exclusive platform for influencers to collaborate and grow with the network. The idea was to build a glassdoor for Influencers to share experiences working with the brands, educate emerging influencers, and so on.
While conducting early interviews with our potential users (Social media influencers & content creators), many of them expressed difficulty in communicating with the brands while juggling their day-to-day schedules.
Influencers who work with multiple brands for different campaigns enter into an agreement where the brand offers its flagship/new products for them to review and promote through social media channels.
Most of the time, The influencers after being pushed forward and backward with multiple changes and delivering their hard work are being ghosted by the brands. Many brands try to scam the creators by not releasing the funds on the promised timelines, poor communication has created an issue in the industry.
I interviewed with 10+ participants and survey respondents shared their struggle of working with brands.
I conducted semi-structured interviews with our target users to validate my initial findings and further tried to understand how my users are currently working with the brands and getting work done. After multiple calls and direct meetings, I understood that most influencers also tie up with agencies and third parties to work with brands using WhatsApp as a medium of communication. The core problem was lying in the communication
The interview questions were simple and concise having room for exploration. End of the calls I gathered all the pain points and frustrations of my target users and documented my findings.
Social media influencers often encounter frustrations working with brands for the following reasons.
1️⃣ lack of response to inquiries or collaboration pitches, which can be a blocker for their progress and opportunities.
2️⃣ Payment delays or disputes further exacerbate these challenges, creating financial strain and impacting trust.
3️⃣ Additionally, influencers may feel undervalued due to a lack of feedback or recognition for their efforts, hindering their motivation and growth.
4️⃣ Due to third-party involvement creators were not happy about getting new opportunities directly and had to share huge commissions.
Content creators seek to ensure timely payments, facilitate communication through a centralized platform, and improve feedback mechanisms for professional development. By promoting transparency and accountability, users aim to build trustful relationships with brands, elevate their professional reputation, and maximize collaboration opportunities in the influencer industry, ultimately advancing their careers and achieving their goals more effectively.

“This is so cool. It just takes away all my pain. I was genuinely looking for a platform like this where I could share my bitter experiences working with a brand and wouldn’t want others to fall into traps. Expecting more updates from the team.”

“Great app! I wanted to be a part of local influencer groups which are mostly run on WhatsApp. The cohort bubbles are a better way to collaborate and learn from the community. Aadhaar verification is going to remove a lot of clutter in the app.”
